Cystic Fibrosis Queensland, since 1960

For 65 years, we’ve overcome challenges and celebrated breakthroughs. Always learning and moving forward. Always Embracing Tomorrow.

Be part of our future and help us rewrite the story of cystic fibrosis.

In July 1960, a small group of concern parents got together in a church hall in Annerley, Brisbane and set a course that would become the Cystic Fibrosis Federation of Australia. The founding member of this Federation, Cystic Fibrosis Queensland was created to fund research in the hope of finding a cure. The average life expectancy of a child born with cystic fibrosis in 1960 was less than 10 years.
